About Fords
Fords is a rural locality in the Mid North region of South Australia, crossed by the Thiele Highway with the Light River forming its northern boundary. The landscape is characterised by grain farming and pastoral grazing on gently undulating plains, typical of the broader Light Regional Council area. Named after early landowner John Ford, who held property in the area during the 1860s, Fords lies about nine kilometres southwest of the historic town of Kapunda.
