About West Lakes
West Lakes is a western suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, within the City of Charles Sturt. Developed in the 1970s as a public private partnership, it is noted for its man-made tidal lake and Delfin Island, a residential island set within the lake. It was renamed John Dyer Lake in honor of former mayor, John Raymond Dyer, recognising his significant influence and dedication to the development.
