About Salisbury Plain

Salisbury Plain is a suburb of Salisbury in northern Adelaide, South Australia, located 25 kilometres from the CBD. Named after Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England, by founder John Harvey in 1848, the area is on Kaurna Country. Originally farming land, it experienced rapid post-war growth driven by the munitions factory and Edinburgh RAAF Base. It offers affordable housing popular with first-home buyers.
