About Salisbury Park
Salisbury Park is a northern suburb of Adelaide in the City of Salisbury, South Australia, located on the south bank of the Little Para River, bounded by Main North Road and Saints Road. The broader Salisbury settlement was founded by Scottish migrant John Harvey who purchased land along the Little Para River in 1847 and named the town after Salisbury, England near his wife's hometown. The Little Para River name derives from the Kaurna word pari meaning a stream of flowing water. The suburb features the Little Para River trails for walking and cycling and the historic Sans Souci Villa.
