About Cavan (SA)
Cavan is a suburb north of Adelaide in the City of Salisbury, South Australia, named by Irish immigrant Daniel Brady after County Cavan in Ireland. Originally part of the broader Dry Creek area, it was established in 1849 and today is predominantly industrial and institutional, hosting the Kurlana Tapa Youth Justice Centre and the Cavan Education Centre.
