About Kanmantoo
Kanmantoo is a small mining town in the eastern Adelaide Hills, about 50 kilometres south-east of Adelaide. Copper was first discovered here in the 1840s, and the Kanmantoo mine has been intermittently active ever since, currently operated by Hillgrove Resources for underground copper and gold extraction. The town also hosts Neutrog, a major fertiliser manufacturer, and sits within the Bremer River catchment basin.
