About Gayndah
Gayndah is a town in the North Burnett Region of Queensland and the region's administrative centre, thought to be the oldest officially gazetted town in Queensland, established in 1849. The district was explored by Thomas Archer and surveyor James Burnett in 1847, and the town's post office opened in 1850. Gayndah is the centre of Queensland's largest citrus-growing area.
