About Dallarnil
Dallarnil is a rural town and locality in the North Burnett Region of Queensland, about 32 km south-west of Childers and about 69 km north-east of Gayndah. The town takes its name from the former Dallarnil railway station on the Isis railway line, the station name being derived from an Aboriginal word meaning 'big hill'. Land resumed from the Stanton Harcourt pastoral run was offered for selection in 1887, and a state school opened in 1901.
