About Branch Creek
Branch Creek is a rural locality in the Wide Bay region of Queensland, located about 30.7 kilometres northeast of Mundubbera and 360 kilometres north-northwest of Brisbane in the North Burnett Region. The landscape features open grazing land and dry eucalypt woodland within the Burnett River catchment, with Branch Creek rising in the north-west of the locality and flowing south to become a tributary of Reid Creek, also known as Binjour Creek. The bushranger known as the Wild Scotchman was said to have hidden in the vicinity in the mid-1860s.
