About Blackbutt (Qld)
Blackbutt is a rural town and locality in the South Burnett Region of Queensland, Australia, located 166 kilometres north-west of Brisbane on the D'Aguilar Highway. Established in 1887 and named after the blackbutt hardwood tree, it is the birthplace of tennis champion Roy Emerson and hosts an annual Avocado Festival.
