About Llanarth (Qld)
Llanarth is a large, sparsely settled rural locality in the Charters Towers Region of Queensland, located about 134 kilometres south of Charters Towers and 270 kilometres south-southwest of Townsville. The heritage-listed Suttor River Causeway on the Old Bowen Downs Road is a notable feature of the locality. The surrounding landscape is characterised by open grazing country typical of the Burdekin dry tropics.
