About Foresthome

Foresthome is a rural locality in the Shire of Hinchinbrook, Queensland, situated 7.3 kilometres northeast of Ingham and 119 kilometres northwest of Townsville. The North Coast railway line passes through the locality, which once had two stations, Gairloch and Lilypond, now both abandoned. The heritage-listed Gairloch Bridge, spanning the Herbert River between Foresthome and neighbouring Gairloch, is a notable local landmark.
