About Lake Macdonald

Lake Macdonald is a rural locality in the Shire of Noosa, Queensland, Australia, located 14 kilometres west of Noosa Heads in the hinterland. Named after the Six Mile Creek Dam, a freshwater reservoir completed in 1965 that supplies water to the Noosa region, the locality lies on the edge of the Noosa Biosphere Reserve. It features the Noosa Botanic Gardens with an amphitheatre and offers leafy acreage properties and native bushland.
