About Ugar Island
Ugar Island is a small island locality in the Torres Strait Island Region of Queensland, consisting of a single island, Stephens Island, in the Torres Strait. The population is concentrated in a small village, with the rest of the island little developed. A primary campus of Tagai State College serves the community, and older students attend the secondary campus on Thursday Island.
