About Four Ways

Four Ways is a remote outback locality in the Shire of Cloncurry, north-west Queensland, situated at the junction of the Burke Developmental Road, Burketown Road, and Wills Developmental Road. The crossroads that give the locality its name lie in open Gulf Savannah country between the Leichhardt and Flinders Rivers, roughly 180 kilometres north of Cloncurry. The Burke and Wills Roadhouse at the historic junction serves as a vital stopping point for travellers crossing the vast outback between Cloncurry and the Gulf of Carpentaria.
