About Barkly (Qld)
Barkly is an outback locality in the City of Mount Isa, Queensland, on the border with the Northern Territory. Much of the vast locality lies within the Barkly Tableland, a flat, arid region at an elevation of around 200 metres above sea level. It lies about 145 km west of Mount Isa and 90 km south-east of Camooweal.
