About Wolfang
Wolfang is a rural locality in the Isaac Region of central Queensland, situated within the Peak Range, a chain of rugged volcanic mountains. The area is dominated by Wolfang Peak, a volcanic formation named by pastoralist Claudius Ker in the 1850s for its resemblance to a wolf's fang. The locality sits about 26 kilometres north-northeast of Clermont and supports cattle grazing alongside a mining-adjacent economy linked to the Bowen Basin coalfields.
