About Mount Pelion
Mount Pelion is a rural locality in the Mackay Region, named after a 381-metre peak within its boundaries that was labelled by surveyor William Charles Borlase Wilson after the Greek mythological mountain. Located about 45 kilometres south-west of Mackay, the locality has sugarcane cultivation in its northern parts and is traversed by the Bruce Highway.
