About Ilbilbie
Ilbilbie is a rural town and coastal locality in the Isaac Region of central Queensland, about 75 kilometres south of Mackay along the coast near the Bruce Highway. Its eastern edge reaches the Coral Sea at the small coastal settlement of Greenhill, an area popular with recreational fishers and campers. The surrounding country is a mix of sugar cane farms, grazing land and coastal scrub, with Sarina the nearest service centre to the north.
