About Yarrabilba
Yarrabilba is a locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, about 20 kilometres south of Logan Central. Its name derives from the Wangerriburra/Bundjalung language meaning "place of song," from bora rings in the area. The land was occupied by the Wangerriburra Clan of the Yugambeh language group prior to European settlement around 1862. During World War II, Camp Cable military base occupied much of the locality. Since 2010, it has been developed as a master-planned community adjoining Plunkett Conservation Park.
