About Buaraba
Buaraba is a large rural locality in the Somerset Region of south-east Queensland, situated on the Great Dividing Range escarpment approximately 109 kilometres west of Brisbane. Most of Ravensbourne National Park, with its remnant rainforest and wet eucalypt forest, lies within the locality, and Buaraba Creek feeds Atkinson Dam which supplies irrigation water to the Lower Lockyer Valley. The area is characterised by open farming country and rolling hills on the western reaches of the Lockyer Valley catchment.
