About Coolangatta (Qld)
Coolangatta is a coastal suburb at the southern end of the City of Gold Coast, Queensland, the Gold Coast's southernmost suburb, bordering New South Wales at Point Danger. It was one of the earliest settlements on the Gold Coast, occupied by Europeans from at least 1828 by a convict station, with red cedar getters following. The suburb lies on Yugambeh Country.
