About Talgai
Talgai is a rural locality in the Southern Downs Region, roughly 9 kilometres west of Allora and 28 kilometres north-west of Warwick. The area is internationally recognised for the 1884 discovery of an ancient Aboriginal fossil skull on the former Talgai Station, and also has a heritage-listed 1868 homestead and a history of alluvial gold mining along Dalrymple Creek.
