About Springvale (Qld)
Springvale is a rural locality in the Western Downs Region of Queensland, about 33 kilometres north of Cecil Plains and the same distance south-south-west of Dalby. The area supports grain and cotton farming on the fertile black soil plains of the western Darling Downs, one of Australia's most productive agricultural regions. Springvale sits within a Priority Agricultural Area and gained national attention when local farmers successfully opposed proposed coal seam gas drilling on their properties.
