About Glengallan
Glengallan is a rural locality in the Southern Downs Region of Queensland, located approximately 15 kilometres north of Warwick on the Darling Downs. The area is home to the heritage-listed Glengallan Homestead, a 1867 two-storey sandstone mansion built on one of the first pastoral runs selected on the Darling Downs by Patrick Leslie in 1840. The homestead, restored from ruin in 2001, sits on the southwestern slope of Mount Marshall near the junction of the Cunningham and New England Highways.
