About Dalveen
Dalveen is a small rural town on the Granite Belt in the Southern Downs Region, about 11 kilometres north of Stanthorpe and 41 kilometres south of Warwick. Named by settler John Flint after Dalveen Pass in Lanark, Scotland, the town has heritage-listed landmarks including St Barnabas Anglican Church from 1903 and a 1939 hall. Soldier's Dam, built by returned World War One soldiers on the stock route between Warwick and Stanthorpe, is a notable local feature.
