About Blaxland (Qld)
Blaxland is a rural locality in the Western Downs Region of Queensland, situated approximately 16 kilometres east of Dalby on the Darling Downs. The locality features flat cropping country bounded by the Western railway line to the south and Myall Creek to the north. Named after Edward James Blaxland who purchased land in the area in the 1860s, the locality retains its pastoral farming character.
