Kianga is a rural locality in the Banana Shire of Central Queensland, situated adjacent to the town of Moura about 155 kilometres south-west of Rockhampton. The area is closely tied to the Bowen Basin coal industry and is historically significant as the site of the 1975 Kianga No. 1 mine disaster.
