About Farnborough

Farnborough is a coastal rural locality in the Livingstone Shire on the Capricorn Coast, about 8 kilometres north of Yeppoon. The area is historically significant as the site of the Yeppoon Sugar Mill, established in 1883, which marked the beginning of the short-lived sugar industry on the Capricorn Coast. Farnborough's eastern boundary fronts the Coral Sea, and the northern portion includes the Capricorn International Resort and land near Byfield National Park.
