About Capella

Capella is a rural town and locality in the Central Highlands Region of Queensland, Australia, located 52 kilometres north-northwest of Emerald. Founded in the 1860s and named after Capella Creek and the star, it serves as a service centre for coal mining and agriculture. Attractions include the Pioneer Village, the Australian Light Horse Monument, and the Peak Range Lookout.
