About Gunnawarra
Gunnawarra is a rural locality in the Tablelands Region, centred on the heritage-listed Gunnawarra Homestead. Established in 1865 as part of the Valley of Lagoons run, the homestead was one of the earliest pastoral stations in North Queensland. The name is derived from an Aboriginal word, and the surrounding land is used primarily for cattle grazing.
