About Cossack (NT)
Cossack is a suburb of Katherine in the Northern Territory, Australia, located 14 kilometres north of Katherine. Named after the White Russian Cossack farmers who settled the area in the 1920s and 1930s fleeing the Russian Civil War, it was officially gazetted in April 2007. The suburb features a mix of rural holdings, small farms, and industrial areas along the Stuart Highway.
