About Meadowbank (NSW)
Meadowbank is a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, located 15 kilometres north-west of the Sydney CBD in the City of Ryde. Named after the Meadowbank Estate, established on land granted to Surgeon William Balmain in 1794, the suburb sits in a valley on the northern bank of the Parramatta River. It is served by the Main Northern railway line and Sydney Ferries. Landmarks include the heritage-listed Meadowbank Railway Bridge and Ryde Bridge.
