Oakdale is a semi-rural suburb in the Wollondilly Shire of New South Wales, located 86 kilometres west-southwest of the Sydney central business district. The suburb borders the Blue Mountains National Park to the north and is surrounded by Orangeville, Nattai, Belimbla Park and Mowbray Park. Situated at an elevation of 430 metres, Oakdale has a rural character with a mix of small acreages and bushland. The suburb is in the state electorate of Wollondilly and the federal Division of Hume.
