About Tregear
Tregear is a suburb of Sydney in the City of Blacktown, about 47 km west of the central business district, in the Greater Western Sydney region. It takes its name from a homestead on the estate of the Lethbridge family, who held the land until it was taken over during the Second World War and sold in 1951. Tregear grew from the 1960s as part of the state housing development around Mount Druitt, and its streets are named after Antarctic explorers. Tregear Reserve stretches across much of the suburb, with a walking track following Ropes Creek.
