About Tallawong

Tallawong is a north-west Sydney suburb in the City of Blacktown, gazetted in 2020 and named after Tallawong metro station, which opened in May 2019 as a terminus of the Sydney Metro Northwest line. The name is a Dharug word meaning apple gum tree. Formed mainly from land previously in Schofields and Rouse Hill, it is a rapidly growing residential area around the metro interchange.
