About Ten Mile Hollow
Ten Mile Hollow is a small, sparsely populated rural locality split between the Hawkesbury City Council area and the Central Coast region of New South Wales, lying entirely within Dharug National Park. The name derives from its position ten miles from Wiseman's Ferry along the convict-built Old Great North Road, constructed between 1826 and 1836, and the section through the locality forms part of the Australian Convict Sites World Heritage property. The rugged sandstone bushland on a high plateau north of the Hawkesbury River is accessible only by walking or cycling.
