About Mangrove Mountain
Mangrove Mountain is a suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, situated about 34 kilometres west of Gosford at an elevation of 307 metres on Mangrove Creek. The Monastery of Pantanassa, a Greek Orthodox monastic community founded in 1976, sits below a two hundred metre cliff on the mountain, and the Central Coast Soaring Club conducts glider flights from the area. The Mangrove Creek Dam, completed in 1982, impounds the creek's headwaters and supplies most of the Central Coast's potable water.
