About Castle Hill (NSW)
Castle Hill is an established residential suburb in the Hills District of Sydney, 34 kilometres north-west of the CBD, split between The Hills Shire and Hornsby Shire. Set on land first used as a Government Farm in 1801, it was the site of the 1804 Castle Hill Rebellion, the first European uprising on Australian soil. The suburb is a commercial centre for Sydney's north-west, anchored by the Castle Towers complex.
