About Porters Creek

Porters Creek is an uninhabited locality in the Shoalhaven region of the New South Wales South Coast, situated entirely within Morton National Park on the Little Forest Plateau escarpment. Porters Creek Dam, built in 1967 and upgraded in 2017, stores drinking water for Milton, Ulladulla and Mollymook. The plateau shelters rare and threatened species, and parts of the area were used for Australian military ammunition testing during World War II, leaving an unexploded ordnance warning in place.
