About Illaroo

Illaroo is a small rural locality in the Shoalhaven region of New South Wales, about 13 kilometres from Nowra on the Shoalhaven River. The area is best known as the home of the Bundanon Trust, Arthur Boyd's 1,000-hectare property gifted to the Australian nation in 1993, which houses an award-winning art museum, historic homestead and walking trails through sandstone escarpments and rainforest pockets. The Shoalhaven River has carved deep gorges through the locality, and the land is Dharawal and Dhurga Country.
