About Broughton (NSW)
Broughton is a locality in the City of Shoalhaven in New South Wales, on the Princes Highway between Gerringong and Berry, between Broughton and Broughton Mill creeks. In 1856 the government surveyed a township on the edge of the Berry estate, named Broughton Village, but the planned town never developed; only a couple of churches, a school and farm residences and dairies were ever erected. The district remains dairying country.
