About Basin View

Basin View is a town in the City of Shoalhaven on the south coast of New South Wales, about 25 kilometres south of Nowra and roughly 200 kilometres south of Sydney, on the shores of St Georges Basin. The area is the country of the Dhurga and Yuin people, who knew the basin as Bherwherree. St Georges Basin, an open coastal estuary fed by Wandandian and Tomerong creeks and draining to the sea at Sussex Inlet, supports fishing, boating and sailing, and Basin View has a concrete boat ramp on Basin View Parade.
