About Tooma

Tooma is a small village in the Snowy Valleys of New South Wales, nestled in the Tooma Valley where Tumbarumba Creek meets the Tooma River near the Murray River. The locality is known for the Tooma Reservoir, part of the Snowy Hydro scheme, and for the Southern Cloud Memorial Lookout which offers views across the Maragle and Tooma Valleys toward the main ridge of Kosciuszko National Park. Tumbarumba, about 34 kilometres away, is the nearest service town.
