About Pilot Wilderness
Pilot Wilderness is a remote wilderness area in the southern precinct of Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales, one of the park's two declared wilderness zones. Elevation ranges from about 200 metres in the Lower Snowy River valley up to 1,830 metres at The Pilot, and the area is known for long-distance hiking and mountain biking, with historic mountain huts along the Barry Way drive from Jindabyne.
