About Rous
Rous is a small rural town in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, situated within Ballina Shire on the Alstonville Plateau near the Richmond River. Named after Admiral Henry John Rous, who charted the river in 1828, it lies about 15 kilometres from Lismore amid subtropical farmland and rolling hills.
