About Mount Warning

Wollumbin, formerly Mount Warning, is a rural locality in the Tweed Shire about 12 kilometres south-west of Murwillumbah. The locality takes its name from the remnant central plug of the Tweed Shield Volcano, one of the world's largest erosion calderas. Wollumbin National Park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests World Heritage Area and holds profound sacred status for the Bundjalung Nation.
