About Monaltrie
Monaltrie is a rural locality in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, about six kilometres south of Lismore in the Wilsons River valley. It is the site of the Monaltrie Homestead, built in 1861 for William Wilson, regarded as the founder of Lismore, and sometimes described as Lismore's oldest home. The Wilson family cemetery, which includes the grave of Bundjalung leader Charley Queybaum, is on the property.
