About Loadstone
Loadstone is a small rural locality in the Kyogle council area of the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, in the timber and grazing country north of the town of Kyogle. Red cedar and hoop pine cutters worked the surrounding hills from the mid-1800s, followed by dairy and cattle farmers, and today the locality is sparsely populated farmland and rainforest-fringed forest country near the Border Ranges. Kyogle provides the nearest services.
