About Iron Pot Creek
Iron Pot Creek is a rural locality in the Kyogle Council area of northern New South Wales, about 37 km west of Kyogle, in the country of the Gullibul, Githabul, Wahlubal and Bundjalung peoples. It is heavily timbered country given to small-scale farming and cattle grazing, sharing a boundary with the Toonumbar National Park. The locality and its waterway lie at the headwaters of the Richmond River, draining the Richmond Range, and Toonumbar Dam, completed in 1971, holds back Iron Pot Creek about 30 km west of Kyogle. The national park offers creek swimming and walking tracks through World Heritage-listed rainforest.
